odd, it seems that the blind one
can often see better than me,
and that the deaf one
can pick up on things so clearly;
and of course the one with no speech
has so much more to teach.
these senses sometimes fail;
they show and hide in ways
that are far beyond the pale
of all my wisdom, all my days.
so much to understand,
and yet so little time;
most of it here in my hands;
but some of it, farther down the line.
