the disguise of a lie

turns out, you can't will yourself to die;
I know, because I gave it a try;
at least, you can't do it quickly --
but you can do it so that it makes you sickly,
and then slowly, you succumb;

once again, this life
should have come with
an instruction book
or maybe
a deconstruction book

yet another half-truth,
wearing the disguise of a lie.
