Beagles

it's a little sad
that I'm never going to
get you those two beagles
that I promised you
so long ago --
but maybe one day
you can get them anyway --

and name one of them
after me;
and when he misbehaves
you could just leave him
outside all day

chained to a stump,
so he feels like a chump:

yeah, that'll teach him.
