the creative process

me, a writer,
and Her:
someone she dismisses
as just a storyteller,
as if writers don't
just tell stories,
in addition to
lots of lies;
we were discussing
The Creative Process
when suddenly it
turned into
Something Else,
and she saw
That Look
in
my eyes,
Killer Blue Electric,
set on "simmer,"
and not wanting
to make light
of our talk,
I made her











an omlet instead;
maybe next time.
