Deborah Digges

she was a far more
accomplished poet
and writer
than most of us
ever turn out to be:

giving voice
to many sad woes,

and setting pain
to music, her words;

and learning today
of her last leap,

well, it saddened me,
but also made me wish

that she had left
one last note.
