chivalry lives

not in fashion anymore
in some tightly woven
circles,
but still it luckily
appeals to you,
and feels
natural to me;
so I will likely
hold a few open
as you approach,
push a few back,
if they dare
to encroach,
and just generally
watch over you,
my sweet:
that's what gentlemen do.
